OCTOBER 19 - NEW DEADLINE FOR MAIL-IN BALLOTS TO BE COUNTED, BUT POSTMARK DATE REMAINS NOV. 3.
Mail-in ballots need to be postmarked by November 3 to be counted, but the Supreme Court ruled October 19 to allow a 3-day extension to accept Pennsylvania mail-in ballots.  The ruling allows for officials to accept ballots until 5 PM on November 6.

Follow the ballot instructions carefully. Fill in the bubble with dark ink, no x's or check marks.  Use the secrecy (inside) envelope and the "declaration" (outside) envelope and don't forget to sign and date it.  Postage paid.

SECURE BALLOT DROP BOX LOCATIONS - October 3, through November 3, 2020
Secure Drop Boxes will be availabe for those who wish to use that option for their mail-in ballots.  BE AWARE that you cannot drop off ballots for other people, even if you are in the same household.  For Lower Merion and Narberth, the Drop Box location is the Ludington Library, 5 S. Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr.   For other locations in Montgomery County visit www.montcopa.org, Voter Services.
See the CALENDAR page for hours Drop Boxes are open.

Track your ballot. You can track and check your ballot status online at https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/pages/ballottracking.aspex.

NEW VOTER SERVICE CENTER IN NARBERTH!  OPEN THROUGH OCTOBER 26.
Montgomery County has opened a staffed, temporary satalitte office for voters in Narberth.  Services at this location are:  voter registration, mail-in ballot application, ballot completion, and ballot turn in.  The center, open through October 26, is located at 925 Montgomery Avenue, Narberth.
Reservations are strongly recommended for all services except dropping off a completed ballot.   You should expect to be at the office about an hour.  Make an appointment online at

https://www.montcopa.org/3600/Lower-Merion-Satellite-Office.

For dates and hours at the satellite office, see our CALENDAR page.

VOTING IN PERSON AT A POLLING PLACE.
You can still vote in person at a polling place but please know that due to COVID-19, your polling place may have changed.
Polling locations will be finalized soon, possibly by the third week of September.  Every registered voter will receive a letter with their polling location even if it is their normal polling location.

What if you applied for a mail-in ballot but now want to vote in-person?  Under the new election laws, unlike in the Primary election, you can remit that ballot with the outside declaration envelope on Election Day at your designated polling location.  Then you can vote in person on the machine.  If you do not have the mail-in ballot to remit, you can still vote by provisional ballot.

UPDATE ON REDISTRICTING EFFORTS IN PA
PA Legislative efforts to end gerrymandering come to a halt with the General Assembly on summer break, but....
Philadelphia Inquirer, July 9:
"The stakes are significant: Independent research shows gerrymandering protects incumbents and strips communities of political power by heavily concentrating one party’s voters into a single district or spreading them out unnaturally."
League of Women Voters member and co-founder of Fair Districts PA, Carol Kuniholm said that now with legislators on summer break, the bills that were under consideration as constitutional amendments are dead.  But the effort to end gerrymandering in Pennsylvania continues.

See the Calendar Page for a Town Hall Meeting discussing the Legislative and Congressional Redistricting Act (LACRA) which is designed to ensure transparency in the redistricting process and to provide significant opportunities for public participation.
